I used these RJ45 jacks with the uBITX to provide a method to connect my handheld mic – http://amzn.to/2IBI36y

Cut the end off and strip enough of the insulation to expose the right lengths of wires to connect to the mic, PTT, and ground on the Raduino connections.  I’ll be doing more testing with the Fast, UP, and Down buttons in the near future.

This will probably get you close enough that you can trace the pinouts for another mic.  I set my multimeter to continuity with tone and tested each wire and corresponding button press.  Technically, you can get by with just the Mic and RJ45 jack wiring but I figured it might save some time for connecting other mics knowing the Yaesu cable pinout mappings.

Quick connects to be added to the wires to permit removal of the case top without needing a soldering iron or leaving excessive wire length.
